A little about your job…
I plan menus, order food twice a week I work with residents daily, to make sure people get what they need and stay happy, I help out when and where needed, I listen to residents when they have suggestions or concerns, I like to maintain a high quality on foods being prepared, I enjoy working closely with staff to maintain a happy work environment.
What meals do your residents request the most?
The love the pork ribs, stir fry entrees, beef stroganoff, stuffed peppers, homemade soups and desserts the most.
What is the most memorable meal thus far that you have cooked at Village Shores community?
All of our marketing events and holiday meals have been quite memorable. Also the new recipes like beef sauerbraten, walnut shrimp, chicken pot pie, eggplant parmesan, and desserts like German chocolate cake, piña colada cake have been fun to create.
What is the most memorable meal you have cooked at your community?
Liver and onions, when I started a year ago, I made liver and onions and not many people ordered it.
So, I asked why and was told it was never very good, I said I am making tonight so I want you to try it
If you do not like it, I will not charge you she paid said it was the best liver and onions so now it’s a popular meal.
If you could go on a culinary trip anywhere in the world – which country/city, would you go to and why?
I would travel to Europe to dine in all the restaurants and taste the chefs creations who made their restaurants famous.

I have attended Chef training at the Culinary Arts and Management from Minneapolis Technical Culinary School and The Culinary Institutes of America. I’m married to my wife Shelia, together we have three kids and three awesome grandkids. We live in Savage and my favorite hobbies are listening to music, sitting on my rocker out on deck at home, reading, and cooking new foods.
