Independent Living is for seniors who are comfortable taking care of themselves and could feasibly take care of themselves in their own home if needed but choose to move into senior living for the sake of community and ease of living services.

Assisted Living is for seniors that have reached the point where they need help with basic day-to-day tasks. When things like getting dressed each day, bathing, and keeping up with medications become a challenge, assisted living homes are a good choice. Village Shores has medical professionals on staff and someone available 24 hours a day to help with whatever needs the senior has.

While age varies by each community, in general, our residents are in their late 70’s to mid-80’s.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own pet with you! If you are comfortable caring for your pet and they are an appropriate pet for the community setting, we would love for them to join our Village Shores family. Guidelines apply.

As this is our residents’ home, we welcome visitors and work with our family and friends to visit their loved ones at a time that works best for them.  The receptionist is available 24/7. 

Village Shores is an active, over 55 community that provides residents lifestyle choices and an environment that promotes wellness and well-being for over thirty years.  Village Shores has continually responded to the changing needs and demands of the aging population.  Having recently completed a major renovation Village Shores expanded lifestyle choices and the continuum of care, added several new amenities, and brings a fresh look to apartments through upgrades that include new kitchens, luxury vinyl wood flooring and granite countertops. 

Our programming and activities will be specially designed to engage a senior mind, body, and spirit. Some of our activities include games, discussion groups, outings, happy hour, and more! Village Shores offers daily programming that helps our seniors stay physically active with chair yoga, walking clubs and much more. For residents that like to get in touch with their inner spirit, we provide musical programs, classes, and a variety of religious offerings. 

Additionally, we will regularly plan fun and engaging activities outside of the community, such as a trip to a local park for a barbeque lunch, a scenic bus ride tour. There is always something to look forward to! 

Yes, at Village Shores and we offer Personal Trainers and a state-of the-art Wellness Center. Wellness Center staffed with a Wellness Director and Wellness Coordinator to assist our residents with their personal wellness programs.

In assisted living and memory care, we offer three meals a day served restaurant-style. Emphasizing choice is important. In addition to the unique entrees featured at each meal, we also offer an “always available” menu for our residents.  We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our main dining room.  We also offer brunch/lunch in our more casual Bistro Café. 

We work with each family to support their needs as best we can, including accommodating urgent move-ins when possible. Residents in Assisted living and Memory Care receive a complimentary assessment prior to moving in, which helps our care team develop his or her individualized care plan 

Yes, bring your own furniture with you as this is your home! We encourage you to design your apartment to be as comfortable and familiar as possible.

Our leases are month-to month and we require a deposit fee upon signing the lease. We also require 30 days written notice prior to moving out of the community.  

Yes! At Village Shores, couples can live together in their own apartment surrounded by their familiar belongings. A nominal second occupancy fee is required. 

We have a variety of unfurnished Independent Living apartments, ranging from our smallest Efficiency apartments starting at $1495 (335 sq feet) to our largest 2-bedroom/2-bathroom apartments at $2,529 per month (1,116 sq ft) 

Village Shores offers senior housing options for with “aging-in-place”  independent living, assisted living, and memory care.  As well as coordination of hospice and other care services.  

Yes, Village Shores has a medication management program, which may be added to an individualized service plan and varies based on regulations. Residents participating in Village Shores medication program may choose their own pharmacy or use Village Shores preferred pharmacy provider. If a resident prefers to use an alternate pharmacy, the resident and pharmacy must comply with certain requirements.  

Upon move-in, our nurses and care team will assess your current health and review your medical history to see how we can best meet your needs. They will also discuss your preferences as well as your normal routines to develop a care plan that is tailor made for you. This individualized service plan details your care plan and is regularly updated to meet your evolving needs.  

We provide continued education and training, clinical care protocols and multiple quality assurance measures to reinforce our strong standards. Village Shores extensive training programs have been developed throughout the years and include classroom, online and hands-on training, as well as employee shadowing and mentoring. 

We have professional nursing staff either in the community or on-call 24-hours a day. 

Our base rental rate in assisted living and memory care offers, and include weekly housekeeping, heat, electricity, water, sewer, and trash removal; cable television and Internet; Emergency Response 24-hours per day, scheduled transportation; Daily selection of activities/events.  Other costs to consider:  three meals a day and cares as needed.
